Why was the movie sound different before in 2000 and now more different

I used to watch this movie among others with my beautiful daughter - it was one of her very favorite stories.... One of the gem lines in this fabulous film is Mrs. Oldknowe's advice - "Never quarrel with your children, no matter how angry you get - it is not worth it... I should have listened more closely to that profound life truth.... I have not seen my precious daughter L.A. in 6 years, thus losing my most beloved girl, because of a quarrel... This movie brings both incredible joy and sadness to me - I guess it is a true mirror image of life's travails. No matter where you go, I will find you...if it takes a thousand years.... Love you forever my darling... no matter where you are, I wish that you are and will always be happy!

Beautiful scenery. Close to the beginning, such cruel senseless killing. For a bad guy, he’s pretty cute, all decked out in buckskin and a cowboy hat . Good story line, Good actors. Fast paced with drama and suspense. Good movie, thanks for sharing.
